This angle can be used without using soffitt cleats. This is done by cutting the ends and folding them over each other to make a double thickness fixing face. This end is then drilled to allow the fixing to be placed through. It is important to note that by using this method instead of soffit cleats it can reduce the supported load of the system by up to 25%.
